Ralph Eugene Beadle
July 18, 1919 - August 15, 2009
Ralph Eugene Beadle, 90, lifetime resident of Little Rock, passed away on August 15, 2009. He was born on July 18, 1919 in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Ralph Waldo and Jessie Gertrude Smith Beadle. He received his Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1941. He retired at age 62, from IBM where he loved his job, and had worked as a salesman for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He served as Sunday School director for his department for over 25 years, and directed the department Christmas program for many years. In retirement, Ralph and Sarah took many wonderful trips with his brother Bob and wife Marilyn. Ralph also enjoyed volunteering for the Visiting Nurses Association, Meals on Wheels, and gave generously to charities throughout his life.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sarah Beadle of Little Rock, Arkansas; son, Dan Beadle and wife Wendy, of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Beverly Beadle and husband, George Foster, of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathy Turner and husband Tom, of Duluth, Georgia, and Janet Nye and husband Alan, of Maumelle, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Libby Nye of Maumelle, Arkansas; Liz and Sarah Beadle of Little Rock, Arkansas; and brother, Bob Beadle of Schenectady, New York.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 North Shackleford Road, Little Rock, with Roller-Chenal Funeral Home assisting, (501)224-8300.
The family will receive friends following the service until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
